The Cecil Clinic, a member of the Hirslanden Private Clinic Group, is close to Lausanne city centre and affords a splendid view of the lake and its mountain backdrop. Its elegant fin-de-siècle facade conceals a clinic specialising in major surgery and the treatment of acute diseases. A state-of-the-art medical and technical infrastructure is available to specialist surgeons, enabling them to offer their patients a high standard of care and personalised service. The Cecil Clinic is one of a kind. As the only private clinic of the Canton of Vaud offering the principal cardiology services, it possesses a 7-bed intensive-care unit that is recognised  by the Swiss Society of Intensive Medicine. The most successful resuscitation and intensive care techniques can be employed here as an anaesthetist is present round the clock. Surgical specialities such as neurosurgery, heart, digestive, chest, urological, general surgery and plastic surgery occupy an important place in our activities.

Our establishment provides a range of services capable of covering every stage of a woman's life with an assisted reproduction centre, gynaecological and obstetric surgery facilities as well as breast cancer screening. Furthermore, our maternity service offers a programme of specific courses designed for pregnant women who wish to enhance their wellbeing. Jointly with the Bois-Cerf Clinic, the Cecil Clinic also offers a consultation in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. The aim of this is to enable you to access cosmetic surgery delivered with complete safety in a quality environment under the direction of experienced Swiss Medical Association plastic surgeons.

The Cecil Pain Centre follows an interdisciplinary approach to the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, thus providing the best possible management in the treatment of chronic or postoperative pain.

Our Outpatient Surgery Centre, which specialises in gastroenterology, chest medicine and urology is at your service for any operation requiring less than 24-hour hospitalisation, whatever your insurance cover.

Close collaboration with the Cecil Clinic has enabled us to expand our range of provision to offer patients the highest level of service. In 2007 the two Lausanne clinics jointly achieved ISO 9001:2000 cerficiation for their quality-management systems and ISO 13485:2003 for their medical equipment. Achieving certification to these internationally recognised management standards marks an important step for the two clinics, which have resolutely committed themselves to continuously improving the quality of care within their quality systems.
